This has already taken 42 hours and will be the most detailed one I have done. I am enjoying the process and taking my time. As with my previous endangered species painting, I will be donating 10% of the selling price to the cause of the Sumatran Tiger.

The size of this piece makes it challenging, but fun. So far I have spent 85 hours on this one. I have now started adding colour. Using a stylus with an dip nib, this stage is as time consuming as the burning. Orangutan babyface

The painting is now ready for me to add encaustic paint. The pyrography is complete. I always get excited at this stage with just a tad of anxiety.
