The Backdrop Gallery is at 60 Bridge Road, Langhorne Creek, South Australia. It is a beautiful old building erected in 1870 by the Oddfellows, therefore the actual building is the Oddfellows Hall. Fifty years later it was turned into a cinema, hence the projection box at the front seen in my painting. The box is no longer there now, but I was lucky to have known it before it came down, mind you in saying that, I do much prefer the building as it is now.
Inside the gallery you will find me from Wednesday to Sunday from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm.
I have a lot of fun with the visitors as I do card painting demonstrations using wax with an iron.
As it is on the main road going through Langhorne Creek, we get visitors from all over Australian and overseas. Bus tour groups are very welcome.
